Preschool and Kindergarten

| In the Montessori classroom, the children learn through discovery and are motivated by their own interest and excitement. In this atmosphere, the children are encouraged to develop a positive self-image and to experience the satisfaction of success. The joy and enthusiasm for learning that come from such experiences lay a strong foundation for future education and for life itself.
The classroom environment is arranged so that the children move naturally through a progression of hands-on materials, which satisfy their emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs. In addition, the children build a strong academic foundation in math, language, writing, geography, and science. Also, at Harmony, the children are given the opportunity to learn French, along with lessons on creative movement, art, music and song. |
